A Taste of Violet is an inspiration from my late Mother, Violet, who was short-lived but left significant footprints in life. All who knew her, Loved her and her FOOD LOL. She was, and still is today, my Motivational Muse. As a young child, I remember the most impactful imprints she laid in my life. She had a way of summoning you to her divine table of deliciousness. The meals she prepared in her unique Southern way gave attention to every detail of the dish. I"m convinced that it was her way of showing me that FOOD IS LOVE; LOVE IS FOOD. She passed on her creativity and expertise to me, starting when I was only ten. Cooking to make others SMILE is my Forever Love. It's one of the main ways I display my love for those dear to my heart today. My mother was that neighborhood mother who cooked or prepared something everyone liked, including her famous Kool-Aid with Orange Juice. It wasn't Kool-aid and OJ. It was so much more than that. She designed it perfectly with the blends that Marry, and they are fantastic to the palate, then top it off mixed with some of her best OJ. Her secret was simple, however. It's all in the Spice. I could reminisce about her recipes, but to name a few of her all-time Faves. She slayed Southern Fried Chicken, 5 Cheese Lasagna, and Strawberry Glazed Shortcake. A Taste of Violet is Southernly rooted, with a twist of Worldwide spices and blends to transform any American dish. Come and travel the World with me, intertwining countries and mixing blends that change your entire way of dining.
